Applicability of Tariff

  • This tariff describes the rates and fees applicable to the intrastate household goods moved by Gold Medal Moving LLC in the state of South Carolina and all other states that we are contracted to deliver goods.

    Transportation Charges

    All Transportation Charges will be described below:

    Hourly Rates

    The Move will be charged on a half hour basis with a minimum charge. Charges will begin when the truck/movers arrive at the location and will end when the customer declares the move to be complete. The time will then be rounded up or down to the nearest half hour.

    Moving Services

    LABOR ONLY (CUSTOMER PROVIDES TRUCK)

    • 2 Movers- $240 (2 hour minimum, $100/hr after 2 hours)
    • 3 Movers- $430 (3 hour minimum, $130/hr after 3 hours)
    • 4 Movers- $700 (4 hour minimum, $165/hr after 4 hours)
  1. A minimum charge will be applied to all moves by the number of movers on job. After the minimum, customers will be charged by rounding to the nearest half hour after the move is complete.
  2. A $10 travel fee will be applied to all labor jobs.
  3. For labor jobs that are over an hour away on Google maps an hour will be added to the total hours once move is complete

  • FULL SERVICE (WE PROVIDE TRUCK)

    • 2 Movers- $130/hr (2 hour minimum)

    • 3 Movers- $165/HR (3 hour minimum)

    • 4 Movers- $195/hr (4 hour minimum)

  1. A one time $120 truck fee will be applied for each truck
  2. Each additional truck will require 2 Movers and will be charged the applicable rate
  3. For moves with a 55 mile radius of Gold Medal Moving LLC office, a $2.15 mileage fee will be charged after 55 miles to the pickup location and to the drop off location. Google maps will be used to determine mileage.
  4. Overnight storage available at $120/night per truck

        • DOWNTIME

          Downtime due to customer will be charged at the standard hourly rate. Customer will not be charged for downtime due to Gold Medal Moving LLC

            Payments

            • For long distance moves, 50% of your estimate will be due as a deposit once your job is established.

            • We accept cash, credit card, venmo, and paypal. Checks are accepted for local moves only. Crew members will have means to take electronic payment on site

            • No checks will be accepted for long distance moves

            • A $50 a day late fee will be added to all jobs that are not closed out when completed within 24 hours

            CREDIT CARD FEE

            A 3% credit card fee will be applied to the end total of any transaction completed using a credit card or debit card

            Specialty Item Fees

            • Any item over 300 lbs, a $180 specialty item fee will be applied

              Pianos (48” or less)

              $180 specialty item fee for each piano (3 Movers required w/ 3 hour minimum)

              Pianos (above 48”)

              $180 specialty item fee for each piano (4 Movers required w/ 4 hour minimum)

              Gun Cabinet/Gun Safe/Safe (Under 400 lbs)

              $180 specialty item fee will be applied for each gun safe. Safe must be empty.

              Gun Cabinet/Gun Safe/Safe (400-600 lbs)

              $180 specialty item fee will be applied for each safe. Safe must be empty. (3 Movers required w/ 3 hour minimum)

            Packing Services

            Gold Medal Moving LLC uses a sister company for all packing services. This will be a separate fee with another company. For moves that require packing services, Gold Medal Moving LLC will reach out to our sister company and provide the customer with their information to set up a date for packing services before we arrive for move.

            • Gold Medal Moving LLC will not move any item containing gas or any other hazardous materials and reserves the right to decline moving any item the supervisor feels may be dangerous or illegal.

            • Gold Medal Moving LLC reserves the right to decline moving any item of an extremely fragile nature or any item the supervisor feels is improperly packed or stored.

            • Gold Medal Moving LLC is not responsible for any items packed by the customer. Any boxes with items of an extremely fragile nature should be labeled and pointed out to the supervisor.

            Claims & Damages

            • ANY DAMAGES TO WALLS OR FLOORS MUST BE REPORTED BEFORE MOVERS LEAVE.

            • Gold Medal Moving LLC WILL NOT MATCH PAINT. Please match your paint before we arrive for repairs. Gold Medal Moving LLC will reimburse for amount of paint NEEDED (not a gallon if there’s just 1 touch up spot). If no paint is provided we will use basic white paint after drywall is repaired.

            • All claims for item damages, overcharges, or loss must be made within 30 days of the move. Claims must be submitted by calling Christina Shankey (843-607- 3380) and e-mailed to goldmedalmovingllc@gmail.com. All claims made after 30 days will be null and void.

            • Gold Medal Moving LLC reserves the right to inspect any damaged items.

            • Gold Medal Moving LLC reserves the right to repair the damage in question. If repair is not possible, Gold Medal Moving LLC will compensate for the damage using a straight-line depreciation based on the market model.

            • Gold Medal Moving LLC does not assume liability for any item of an extremely valuable nature. Gold Medal Moving LLC will not accept responsibility for any item of actual or intrinsic value that comes into our possession with or without our knowledge.

            • For claims under 100lbs are compensated through $1 per pound

            Delays

            • Gold Medal Moving LLC will not be responsible for any delays in the transportation of goods due to unexpected events i.e. inclement weather and/or traffic delays

            Estimates

            • ESTIMATES ARE ONLY ESTIMATES. Gold Medal Moving LLC will charge according to their transportation charges listed above unless a set price has been agreed on.
